Teacher guide

Classroom

Free classes for schools and teachers. Pupils join with a class code: no email, no password.

For teachers

  1. Register your class

Give your school, your name, the class name and your email. It is free.

  2. Get your codes

Tibetan Events sends you the class code for your pupils and your own teacher key by email.

  3. Open the teacher area

Sign in with your teacher key. Add pupils, or show the class code on the board.

  4. Follow and guide

See each pupil's progress, give homework, choose texts, print a report or download a CSV.

Three codes

TIB-7K2
Class code

One code for the whole class. Write it on the board or use “Show code on the board”.

M4T-9QD
Personal code

Each pupil gets one. Write it down: you need it to continue on another computer. Forgotten code? Use “New code” in the teacher area.

teacher-••••
Teacher key

For you only. Keep it safe. Lost it? Use “Lost your key?” on the teacher sign-in page.

For pupils

  1. Join with the class code

Type the class code from your teacher, your first name and the first letter of your last name.

  2. Keep your personal code

You get your own code. Write it down to continue on another computer.

  3. Practise

Your practice is saved with your class, and your teacher sees your progress. Your homework shows here on the Classroom page.

Homework and reports

  • Give homework or classwork: course lessons, a text from the class library or one of your own texts, with a date.
  • The pupil table shows the lesson now, lessons passed, this week, best speed, accuracy and homework done.
  • Print a report or download a CSV for your school.

Class size

40
Up to 40 pupils per class; more on request

Need more? In the teacher area, click “Request a bigger class”. Tibetan Events checks it and allows up to 80 pupils.

Privacy

  • Pupils give only their first name and the first letter of their last name. No email, no password, no account.
  • Pupils see only numbers about their class, never the names of other pupils.
  • Only you see your pupils' names and progress, in the teacher area.
